About The Position

The Department of Medicine is seeking an infectious disease specialist in the Academic Clinical emphasis track to join the faculty of the Division of Infectious Diseases and International Medicine (IDIM) at the University of Minnesota. Requirements

  • Medical (eg, DO, MD, MBBS, etc) degree
  • Board eligibility or board certification in Internal Medicine
  • Completed fellowship training (or equivalent) in Infectious Diseases
  • Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of USA category while in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Staffing the inpatient Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT) and Solid Organ Transplant (SOT) Infectious Diseases consult services
  • Seeing outpatients referred to the Transplant Infectious Diseases clinic
  • Staffing the inpatient general infectious disease consult service including telemedicine
  • Staffing the antibiotic management team services
  • Teaching students and residents who rotate on the infectious diseases consult service
  • Staffing the infectious diseases fellows' clinic
  • Establish and/or collaborate on clinical research studies
