About The Position

The Department of World Languages and Cultures at the University of Massachusetts Lowell seeks a part-time adjunct Instructor to teach two sections of Spanish 1 and Culture with a possibility of one section of Spanish 2, taught on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The successful candidate will be expected to begin work on September 1st, 2026. This is a part-time, non-benefited appointment for the Fall 2026 semester, with the possibility of renewal based on departmental needs, satisfactory performance, and available funding. Under the guidance of the Spanish program coordinator, the ideal candidate will enhance the student's learning experience by integrating a variety of methods and strategies into the teaching process and maintaining a student learning-centered environment. Requirements

  • M.A. degree or above in Spanish.
  • Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish and English.
  • A minimum of four-year teaching experience at the college level in lower-division courses using communicative approach in the classroom.
