Requirements

  • Ability to work in face-to-face and online teaching environment.
  • Knowledge of computer based academic delivery systems.
  • Ability to work with an ethnically diverse student body.
  • Strong communication, time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate honesty, integrity and commitment to maintaining high professional standards.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team of highly motivated and experienced individuals.
  • Verbal communication with college administration, faculty, staff and others internal and external to the university.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Self-directed and have skills in writing and consultation.
  • Doctorate of Nursing
  • 7+ current experience in clinical practice as nurse anesthetist
  • 7+ teaching experience at the graduate level.
  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
  • Certified Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Responsibilities

  • Identifies and documents student performance or conduct concerns, implements appropriate remediation plans, and follows institutional policies for disciplinary action or dismissal when warranted.
  • Evaluates learning resources such as reference material, audio/visual aids, computer-assisted learning programs, and library acquisitions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Designs, develops, and delivers high-quality instruction and course materials including syllabi, assessments, and clinical assignments.
  • Assesses student performance through timely grading, feedback, office hours, clinical, and formal evaluation.
