Faculty Consult Liaison Psychiatrist in Tyler, Texas
About The Position
UT Tyler Health Science Center is searching for a Board-Certified Psychiatrist to join the UT Health’s Behavioral Health team in a Faculty Consult Liaison role. This position involves a dedicated day for the Subacute Residential Psychiatric Unit and the remainder of the week focused on the Inpatient Consult-Liaison Service. The role includes a faculty appointment with opportunities to teach psychiatry residents and medical students, working alongside two psychiatry residents. Responsibilities include providing inpatient psychiatric consultations in the Emergency Department and on general medical floors, treating a diverse acute behavioral health population including patients with substance use disorders and psychotic disorders, and occasional short-term coverage in other clinical areas as needed. A Consult-Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship is preferred but not required.
