The School of Public Affairs (SPA) within the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions at Arizona State University (ASU) is seeking applications for Faculty Associate positions for the 2026-2027 academic year. These part-time appointments involve teaching one or two courses per semester (not exceeding 0.40 FTE) on a renewable, one-semester contract basis. Instruction can be delivered either in-person on ASU campuses (Downtown Phoenix, Tempe, or Glendale) or online. Faculty Associates are fixed-term employees and are not eligible for benefits, sabbaticals, or tenure. Salary is determined by qualifications and teaching load. Official transcripts are required before employment. Individuals hired as Faculty Associates cannot hold multiple, non-benefits-eligible appointments at ASU. The school is looking for candidates available for in-person teaching as well as those qualified to teach online.
