About The Position

The School of Architecture and Planning at UNM is accepting applications for temporary, part-time Faculty positions in the Architecture Department. The department is seeking faculty to teach undergraduate and graduate architectural design studios, courses, and seminars. The department also seeks instructors that can teach structures, professional practice, design fundamentals, graphic design, portfolio design, digital media, construction, and various forms of visualization, including 3D software, fabrication, BIM modeling, etc. For best consideration, please apply by June 30, 2026, for Fall Semester 2026; November 15, 2026, for Spring Semester 2027; and April 15, 2027, for Summer Semester 2027. If you would like to be considered for multiple semesters, please list preferences in your cover letter.

Requirements

  • NAAB-accredited architecture degree (B Arch, M Arch, or D Arch)
  • Master's degree in architecture or a related field.
  • Submit a resume / CV.
  • Submit a portfolio (if applying for a design studio or visualization course).
  • Submit a cover letter.
  • Submit a list of a minimum of two references.
  • Submit examples of student work if available.
  • Provide official certification of successful completion of all degree requirements prior to their initial employment with UNM.
