About The Position

Montgomery College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lecturer for part-time faculty openings to teach ARCH 101: Introduction to Architecture, ARCH 203: Sustainability, and ARCH 200: CAD – 3D Presentation Graphics. The ideal candidate will exhibit a high degree of professionalism, a strong commitment to students, and the ability to motivate and educate in an engaging manner. Applications are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed periodically based on enrollment needs. Part-time faculty are limited in the number of equivalent semester hours they can teach per semester and academic year. The hiring decision is at Management's sole discretion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture or a related field.
  • Two years of full time experience working as an architect in an architectural firm.
  • Must be familiar with multiple building technologies and the graphic architectural documentation of buildings.
  • Must be familiar with Sustainable design strategies
  • Must be proficient in Rhino3D
  • Proficient in basic architectural concepts
  • Microsoft Suite Word Excel
  • Adobe Suite Photoshop InDesign Illustrator
  • Twinmotion

  • Faculty members are expected to have access to a personal computer with virus protection that can connect to the internet outside of the work location (i.e., office, classroom, college campus).
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without a sponsor.

  • Zoom or Webex meeting platforms.
  • For degrees earned outside of the U.S., a copy of your education equivalency, conducted by a nationally recognized evaluation service, must be included in your application.

Responsibilities

  • In-person and online lectures during scheduled class times on building technologies, sustainable design and architectural design strategies
  • Online demonstration in 2D documentation in computer graphics and 3D computer graphics (3D modeling and post-processing/composition software ADOBE SUITE, Twin motion 2026 / Rhino3d)
  • Record, annotate, and post lectures and demonstrations, assignments, and other course content on Blackboard throughout the semester.
  • Grading hand and digital work and posting on Blackboard
  • Availability for online supplemental tutoring
