About The Position

This is a full-time 12-month faculty position in the Department of Occupational Therapy with administrative responsibilities as the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator offered at the rank of Instructor or assistant professor (depending on experience) with a start date of July 1, 2026. The position involved work on Jefferson’s Center City and East Falls campuses. The successful candidate will function as an integral member of the Jefferson Occupational Therapy Department faculty and an Academic Fieldwork Coordinator across Jefferson’s Center City and East Falls campuses.

Requirements

  • be an occupational therapist
  • have a master’s degree or higher
  • have experience as an academic fieldwork coordinator or fieldwork educator
  • possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
  • demonstrate experience and skill in teaching, collaboration, and sustaining partnerships
  • be open to novel and dynamic processes to support students through experiential learning

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in innovative program development and serving the community is highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate multiple ongoing projects and communicate effectively with community partners, entry-level program directors and faculty
  • Collaborate with administrative staff across the OT department to ensure program compliance and ACOTE standards are met for all OT programs
  • Collect and interpret data for fieldwork curriculum development across three OT programs
  • Advise students on developing skills needed for site specific learning objectives
  • Ensure students meet site health and onboarding requirements for fieldwork
  • Schedule and confirm student placements across the department
  • Advise students and fieldwork educators related to experiential learning
  • Maintaining a faculty-centric scholarship agenda
  • Engaging in internal and external service
