Raytheon’s Strike Initiatives is currently seeking a Factory Software and Test Equipment Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) for its StormBreaker Lot Integration and Test program. This role places a strong emphasis on factory software coordination, test equipment development, and ensuring a seamless transition to production for updated weapon configurations. As the technical lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development, integration and qualification of critical software and test systems, enabling the delivery of enhanced capabilities to warfighters. Join our team and gain hands-on experience in the integration and qualification lifecycle while collaborating with top-tier talent across engineering disciplines, subject matter experts, Chief Engineers, and Chief Technologists to ensure we meet program objectives and achieve successful production transitions. As the Factory Software and Test IPTL, your responsibilities will center on leading efforts for the development and qualification of factory software and test equipment while supporting the transition of these critical systems into production. Your leadership will be key in ensuring the successful execution of Formal Qualification Testing (FQT) for Tactical Software builds, managing the development of factory software and test equipment in an agile environment, and facilitating their readiness for high-rate production. You will also engage in cross-functional collaboration with government and industry stakeholders, ensure robust technical rigor, and identify opportunities to enhance processes and products. This role offers a unique opportunity to impact on the broader StormBreaker portfolio projects, contribute to the lifecycle of advanced systems, and mentor the next generation of engineers. This position is an onsite role located in Tucson, AZ.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Expertise in at least one of the following disciplines: Software development, integration and qualification.
  • Integrated Flight Simulation (IFS) development, integration, verification, and/or validation.
  • Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) or Signal Processing algorithm design, development, verification and/or validation.
  • Systems Engineering architecture, requirements development and/or verification.
  • Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated experience transitioning systems to production readiness.
  • Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain special program access prior to start.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate major efforts for Factory Software Development, Test Equipment and Software Qualification (tactical and system reprogramming builds).
  • Drive the transition of software and test systems from development to production readiness.
  • Facilitate working groups with customer stakeholders, focusing on execution plans and mitigating risks while identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Execute monthly CAM (Control Account Manager) responsibilities to ensure schedule and ETC (Estimate to Complete) accuracy and provide explanations for variances.
  • Prepare and present materials for program-level meetings and reviews, including Integration and Verification Working Groups, Program Management Reviews, Functional Configuration Audits, and others.
  • Collaborating with technical and program leads to execute program tasks and address scope gaps, including securing necessary funding to meet program goals.
  • Oversee updates to test equipment and software, with a focus on enabling a smooth transition to production.
  • Support system performance analysis, simulation, and software verification activities.
  • Enhance, update and maintain technical documentation to support development and production efforts.
  • Lead and participate in failure investigations, including providing Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) and supporting Failure Review Boards (FRBs) and Failure Investigation Teams (FITs).
  • Mentor early-career engineers and facilitate knowledge sharing across Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Cross-Product Teams (CPTs).
