About The Position

As an integral member of our team, you will play a pivotal role coordinating local factory finance activities to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, balance sheet valuation and product cost, on time. You will have the opportunity to support line management in analysis and decision-making needs, KPI / P&L monitoring, both ad hoc and routine, contributing to the overall success and growth of our organization. Currently, this is an On-Site opportunity located in Newburyport, MA.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business, with relevant experience.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting, finance and administration position.
Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting.
Proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance a plus).
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and communicate financial insights effectively.
Organized and works well with tight deadlines.
Multitasking and prioritizing.
Works well independently and as a member of a team.
Domestic and International Shipping documentation preparation.

Nice To Haves

2-3 years in a manufacturing environment working with finance and inventory management.

Responsibilities

Ensure local compliance with internal Finance policies.
Actual vs. Standard Cost Variance Analysis.
Standard Costing / Cost Roll; rates, standards, variance analysis, and controls.
Provide ERP software support for processes including order entry, invoicing, job costing, inventory control, production purchasing, and production control.
Monthly Closing Routines & Reporting, incl, Journal Entries and Account Reconciliation / Analysis.
Maintains / implements proper internal controls.
Responsible for Annual Physical Inventory / Administration of Cycle Counts; Inventory Trend / Variance Analysis.
Coordinates Budget and Forecast Processes.
Reviews Capital Projects and performs Post Project Audits; supports Fixed Asset review.
Supports Production Management Team
Perform analysis of the Product Center activities, supporting Business Unit and Product Group reporting (Sales Company / Service Center).
Coordinates Factory KPI’s Reporting.
Monthly / Quarterly Financial Reviews and Presentations (incl. Cost Update).
Local Financial Systems Implementation/Maintenance (incl. Y/E & periodic).
Ensure data and system integrity in ERP and related Alfa Laval specific software.
Experience in customer order processing including EDI transactions.
Domestic and International shipping and invoicing of new equipment projects and spare parts.
Process RMA’s and other credits as needed.
