About The Position

Siemens Mobility, Rolling Stock Division is seeking an entry-level Factory Commissioning Test Technician for its world-class passenger railcar manufacturing facility in Lexington, NC. This role involves commissioning, troubleshooting, and repairs on next-generation light rail, locomotives, and coaches. The position requires familiarity with electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems. The role is for the 2nd Shift, Monday - Thursday, 4:00pm - 2:30am.

Requirements

• High school diploma (or GED)
• 2+ years experience in electrical testing
• Proficient in electrical, pneumatic, mechanical troubleshooting

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree in engineering or mechatronics program education or similar preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical commissioning on locomotive and coach cars
• Troubleshoot, document and repair electrical and mechanical failures
• Work with state-of-the-art diagnostic test equipment
• Understand and comply with company and industry safety standards
• Communicate technical information, job procedure recommendations, and other work-related information verbally and in writing
• Work independently and as part of a team with multi-disciplinary backgrounds
• Read, interpret and understand written or electronic schematics
• Use PTU’s to troubleshoot various systems onboard light rail, locomotive and coach vehicles
