Covestro is seeking a motivated and curious intern to join our Finance, Accounting, Controlling, and Tax organization(s) (FACT) for Summer 2027 at our North American headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a hands-on internship where you will do meaningful work from day one. The intern will primarily be part of our Tax group, tackling real responsibilities, including assisting the tax team with ongoing compliance and contributing to the completion of income, sales and use, property, and other related business tax projects. You may also have the unique opportunity to rotate exposure across our Finance, Accounting, and Controlling teams, giving you broad exposure to multiple disciplines within a corporate finance organization. Specific accounting, controlling, or finance projects may include assisting the respective teams with closing-related responsibilities, financial statement preparation, account reviews, product costing, and other business-driven requirements. Requirements

  • Actively enrolled full-time in a Bachelor's degree program in Accounting, Finance, or Business
  • Completion of sophomore year by May 2027 (junior standing entering Summer 2027)
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3
  • Foundational coursework in accounting and/or finance (introductory-level courses sufficient)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and with diverse individuals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel (data entry, basic formulas, formatting), PowerPoint (creating clear, professional presentations) and Word
  • Foundational understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and general ledger processes — introductory coursework in these areas is sufficient
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines, prioritize tasks, and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Eagerness to learn new tools and processes in a fast-paced, professional corporate environment
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential financial information with discretion and professionalism
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Minor or coursework in Data Analytics or Information Systems
  • Familiarity with tax concepts through coursework or prior experience
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) or ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
