About The Position

Trail Drive Management Corp (TDMC) is looking for a Full-Time Plumbing Technician to support our Will Rogers Memorial Center (WRMC) operation. The Plumbing Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of plumbing systems and related equipment throughout the facility. This position performs skilled plumbing work, troubleshoots plumbing issues, completes preventative maintenance, and provides technical support to supervisory personnel to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient facility operations. This position will be 100% on-site.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of verifiable commercial plumbing experience.
  • Must possess a valid Texas driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience maintaining plumbing systems in commercial, institutional, public assembly, or large multi-building facilities preferred.
  • Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship, trade school, or equivalent vocational training preferred.
  • Current Texas Journeyman Plumber License preferred; Tradesman or Apprentice License will be considered depending on experience.
  • Knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, domestic water distribution, sanitary sewer systems, storm drainage systems, backflow prevention devices, pumps, valves, and plumbing fixtures.
  • Working knowledge of applicable plumbing codes, safety regulations, ordinances, and emergency procedures.
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints, plumbing schematics, technical manuals, and specifications.
  • Keyboarding skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Self-motivated with a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and respond to emergency call-outs as operational needs require.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and fluctuating temperatures.

Responsibilities

  • Performs installation, repair, maintenance, and replacement of commercial plumbing systems, fixtures, valves, piping, drains, water heaters, pumps, and related equipment.
  • Diagnoses plumbing problems and determines appropriate corrective actions to minimize downtime and disruption to facility operations.
  • Develop work plans and schedules to provide plumbing maintenance and repair services.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on plumbing systems, domestic water systems, sanitary sewer systems, storm drainage systems, and associated equipment.
  • Conducts routine inspections to identify leaks, corrosion, blockages, code deficiencies, and equipment failures.
  • Responds to emergency plumbing repairs, including water leaks, clogged drains, sewer backups, and fixture malfunctions.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable plumbing codes, safety regulations, and facility standards.
  • Employs safe work practices and follows safety guidelines established by Gendy Street Management.
  • Maintains appropriate records, completes work orders, writes reports, and prepares correspondence as assigned.
  • Inspects, cleans, and maintains tools and equipment after use.
  • Orders and maintains plumbing materials and supplies according to established City and departmental procedures.
  • Assists with facility maintenance activities outside the plumbing trade as needed to support operations and special events.
  • Provides superior customer service to internal departments, event staff, exhibitors, vendors, and guests.
