About The Position

The Missle Segment of L3Harris is seeking a Facilities Technician B to join our Orange, VA location. Our site near Culpeper, VA—located in beautiful, rural Orange County, approximately 1.5 hours from Washington, DC—is growing! This location serves as our center of excellence for solid rocket motor propulsion, energetics development, and high‑complexity production programs. This position reports directly to the Associate Manager of Facilities, under the general supervision of the Facilities Manager. With some knowledge and experience in landscaping and construction, the Facilities Technician B works under the direction of a Lead Skilled Craftsman to perform tasks required to maintain plant facilities. Responsibilities include general maintenance activities such as snow plowing, mowing, and operating hand and power tools. Work is performed with supervision and the ability to follow detailed instructions.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience OR 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
Ability to follow detailed instructions
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
Ability to don and doff PPE when entering or exiting specialized areas

Nice To Haves

Experience operating excavating equipment such as skid steer loaders, walk‑behind trenchers, mini‑excavators, dump trucks, lawn mowers, and weed trimmers.
Strong computer skills, including MS Word and Excel (with formula use).
Strong safety and environmental awareness.
Ability to distinguish colors
