Responsibilities

Complete a forklift inspection at the start of each shift and submit the daily sheet to management
Collect and remove trash from all assigned areas including trash cans, scrap metal, cardboard, wood, and pallets
Empty dust collectors throughout the assigned area
Operate a cardboard bailer and trash compactors
Transport dumpsters and materials throughout the plant using a forklift
Respond to unplanned cleanup requests as production needs arise
Identify potential hazards and report any safety or facility concerns to management
Maintain accurate records of facility activities and assist with special projects as assigned
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
