About The Position

Facility Maintenance Support position available for The Jay Group a 3PL company located in Lancaster, PA. This position performs maintenance functions between in the Lancaster facility. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a distribution or a fulfillment center. Performs preventive maintenance tasks for electric, plumbing, HVAC, lawn & tree care, housekeeping, elevators, powered industrial equipment, fire and security, fire suppression sprinklers, pest control, and snow removal at Lancaster area facilities. Observes proper lock-out, tag-out procedures. Performs tasks with outside vendors to complete preventative maintenance and larger projects that cannot be handled by the internal Maintenance Team. Completes tasks to support Maintenance requests submitted by employees in all departments of the company and for any companies that lease space from Jay Group. Removes equipment requiring repair from use, effectively repairs equipment, and tests equipment prior to re-introduction to active production. Performs inspections of fire extinguishers, pest control units, facility temperature control units, and sprinkler systems as required within the facilities.

Requirements

Three (3) years of related maintenance, carpentry, electrical, and equipment repair in a light industrial environment required.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Experience w/conveyors, photo-eyes, scanners and imagers, basic warehouse equip. including stretch wrappers, pallet jacks, bailers, compactors and PIT's required
Ability to communicate findings of inspections and maintenance issues with team members of all levels.
Remain detail oriented while multi-tasking
Must be willing to submit a background check and drug screen
Must be at least 16 years of age
Ability to work legally in the United States

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working in a distribution or a fulfillment center.
Experience with PLC's preferred.
