About The Position
The YMCA is looking for dedicated individuals to join our Maintenance Staff. As a key member of our team, you’ll play an essential role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors. From ensuring equipment is in top condition to keeping our facilities spotless, your work will directly contribute to the well-being and experience of our community. The Jorgensen Family YMCA is seeking a responsible and attentive part-time Facility Support Assistant person to join our team to assist with caring for the facility, with a focus on cleaning.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Reliable transportation to attend work.
- This position requires the ability to read and follow Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and product labels.
- Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean environment and facility.
- Perform janitorial duties (i.e. bathrooms, windows, floors, trash, detail cleaning, etc.).
- Engage and interact with members and staff within the facility.
- Participate as an active team member for the overall advancement of the Association.
