About The Position
The Assistant Facility Director at the Bear-Glasgow YMCA Family Location plays a crucial role in ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment for all members and staff. This position involves assisting in the development and administration of maintenance and cleaning processes, inspecting work, and resolving any deficiencies. The role also requires active participation in emergency responses and clear communication of building-related issues to the Group VP, Buildings and Properties.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to serve a diverse community
- Three to five years’ experience in building maintenance with certification
- Must be capable of understanding documents and information, including schematics, blueprints, building codes.
- Must be able to define problems, gather data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, communicate issues to the (VP), and direct the work of others.
Responsibilities
- Provides a safe and hazard-free environment.
- Assist, develop and administer maintenance and cleaning processes.
- Assist and inspect work performed and resolve deficiencies as needed.
- Communicates issues regarding work quality to the Group VP, Buildings and Properties.
- Assist in emergency responses to all building emergencies.
