About The Position

The Georgia World Congress Center Authority (GWCCA) is seeking a part-time Facility Services Operator to join their team. This role is crucial for managing campus maintenance operations by receiving and routing calls, logging maintenance incidents, prioritizing and dispatching work orders, and interacting with internal and external customers. The operator will ensure exceptional and professional phone services while maintaining an organized and efficient workflow.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years high school education or general education equivalent.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in a customer service position or related function.
  • Intermediate skills in using Microsoft Office and other technology.
  • High degree of integrity and compliance.
  • Ability to build and maintain customer-focused relationships with internal and external customers; seeks to understand the caller’s needs and provide timely response and assistance.
  • Self-awareness; ability to assess, weigh, and manage risk in the face of uncertainty.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Understand computers and utilize technology to improve work processes.
  • Ability to use office software to create, format, and edit documents and presentations.
  • Ability to clearly understand and identify the customer in all business-related interactions both internally and externally.
  • Must demonstrate concern and take responsibility for customer inquiries.
  • Must be able to recognize and communicate options available to offer support and solutions.
  • Must consistently provide excellent customer service.
  • Thoroughness in task approach, follow-up & completion.

Responsibilities

  • Operate computer-based software, telephone, two-way radios, and radio base station equipment.
  • Receive, log, and dispatch work order calls promptly and effectively through the Campus Operations hotline.
  • Serve as a point of information to the general public as needed.
  • Maintain an organized and productive workflow in accordance with departmental standards to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Create documents, presentations, reports, and other written communication using various software systems and technology.
  • Conduct building inspections and create work orders to address identified issues.
  • Project a professional image representing the Georgia World Congress Center's philosophy, emphasizing the highest level of customer service.
  • Perform other duties, functions, special projects, and responsibilities as assigned.
  • File documents into appropriate employee files.
  • Assist with or prepare correspondence as requested.
  • Process mail.
