About The Position

The Georgia World Congress Center Authority (GWCCA) Campus Operations function is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and exceptional facility operations that support world-class events and guest experiences. Through strong operational oversight, vendor partnerships, and team leadership, Campus Operations ensures the Authority’s facilities operate at the highest standards of quality, safety practices, incident response, and preventive maintenance. The Georgia World Congress Center is currently seeking a Facility Operations Supervisor - Housekeeping to join our team supporting our Housekeeping Operations. This position reports to our Facility Manager – Housekeeping Operations and is responsible for the supervision and management of housekeeping supply inventory, quality control of services rendered by facility’s cleaning service provider, and auditing cleaning services provided by the Authority’s third-party contracted cleaning services to ensure facility quality operating standards are met. Our ideal candidate will exercise the highest level of professional work standards and demonstrate good judgment, intelligence, initiative, and ability to work under pressure. This position maybe required to perform duties in extreme weather conditions at certain times of the year. The Facility Supervisor position shall be responsible for providing the highest quality of service to our clients. Nice To Haves

  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a custodial services role or closely related position
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision of housekeeping services in accordance to established departmental procedures
  • Manage inventory of housekeeping supplies to include receiving from warehouse, stocking supply rooms/cabinets, and tracking usage levels of all items
  • Verify services rendered by facility’s cleaning service provider meet or exceed quality standards designated by scope of work in agreement; including but not limited to inspecting facility offices, meeting rooms, public concourses & lobbies, restrooms, and other front-of-house and back-of house areas; recommend changes necessary to maintain the desired quality performance
  • Audit staffing levels of facility’s cleaning service provider to ensure requested staffing levels per event are in place
  • Routinely inspect the facility, including the operating status of equipment and inventory of supplies
  • Conduct pre- and post-event walk throughs of licensed event space, inclusive of exhibit halls, lobbies/pre-function areas, concourses, loading docks, service hallways, etc. to audit services provided by customer contracted cleaning providers to ensure spaces are returned to expected cleanliness following event load-out
  • Assist Facility Operations Manager – Housekeeping in overseeing waste management services provider to includes scheduling waste hauls and monitoring services provided by third party waste management provider.
  • Assist Facility Operations Manager – Housekeeping in overseeing pest control services provider to ensure contractor is meeting contractual obligations for pest control services at the facility.
  • Complete daily end-of-shift reports to summarize above items
  • Attend departmental meetings to provide updates to the Director of Operations and other members of the Facility Operations department
  • Reports safety, sanitary, and fire hazards as appropriate
  • Reports need for maintenance and repairs as appropriate
  • Maintain a professional image that represents the values and vision of the Georgia World Congress Center Authority with emphasis on providing customers with the highest level of customer service deemed possible
