About The Position

Overview The Facility Security position is responsible for providing the care, control, and security of the facility by controlling access to the building and parking lot, monitoring life safety systems, completing daily reports and logs, and ensuring all access points are secure. Assists in converting the Arena, Community Ice Rink, and Conference Center. This role will pay an hourly rate of $21.00. Requirements

Must demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and sound judgment at all times.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Have strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow instructions and adhere to Policies and Procedures.
Basic Computer Knowledge.

Background and/or training in security or law enforcement is an asset.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to and from the facility, including credential verification.
Monitor life safety systems (fire alarm, CCTV, access control) and respond to alarms and incidents appropriately.
Conduct regular patrols of interior and exterior areas to ensure safety and security.
Respond to incidents, emergencies, and disturbances and escalate as needed.
Monitor parking areas and enforce facility parking policies.
Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests, staff, and contractors with directions and information.
Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely reports (incident reports, daily activity logs).
Enforce facility rules, policies, and procedures in a consistent and professional manner.
Assist with event operations as needed.
Assist in facility operations, maintenance coordination, and event conversions as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
