About The Position

Responsible for overseeing daily security operations to ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, employees, providers, and hospital property. This position supervises security personnel, coordinates emergency response activities, investigates incidents, and assists in maintaining compliance with hospital policies, safety regulations, and security procedures. Serves as a leader and resource for the security team while promoting excellent customer service and professional conduct. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, HIPAA requirements, and applicable state and federal regulations. Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations. Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict. Will perform all job duties or job tasks as assigned. Will follow and adhere to all requirements, regulations and procedures of any licensing board or agency. Must comply with all Benefis Health System’s organization policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Current Montana Private Security Guard License required.
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of security, law enforcement, military, healthcare security or related experience required.
  • Valid MT driver’s license required.
  • Current BLS certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Healthcare or hospital security experience is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of hospital security operations, emergency management, and workplace violence prevention.
