The FSO manages all aspects of the DoD Industrial Security Program for the Lexington Park, Maryland office, to include personnel security, document control, physical security, classification management, prime and subcontract DD Form 254 administration, and security education. Writes procedures and provides security guidance, education, and training to assigned personnel. Manages facility physical security, IDS, safe and document control. Have some familiarity with RMF process to participate in the development, configuration management, and approval of all information systems (IS).

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ work experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of NISPOM, 32 CFR Part 117, Executive Orders, and DoD Directives.
  • Demonstrated excellent judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to analyze problems and identify solutions.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and render concise reports, summaries and formal presentations.
  • Must have strong knowledge of the entire Microsoft Office® Suite, particularly Word®, Excel®, PowerPoint®, Project® and Outlook®.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the proper US DoD issued security clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, criminal justice or related discipline is desired.
  • Will consider additional work experience in lieu of a degree.
