Facility Security Officer (FSO)

About The Position

This role involves managing IT security and protection for the company's network, working closely with the IT team and security consultants. The individual will be responsible for incident management, resolving security issues, and maintaining CMMC standards. A key aspect of the role is serving as the Facility Security Officer (FSO) within the DCSA system, acting as the primary point of contact with DCSA and conducting security education and training programs. The position also requires performing self-inspections, internal audits, preparing for government security reviews, investigating security incidents, and monitoring surveillance and access control systems.

Requirements

Good knowledge of networking systems and vulnerabilities.
Working knowledge of a Windows Domain System and MS 365 Cloud Services.
Knowledge of DoD industrial security requirements and CUI standards.
Experience working with DCSA and government customers.
Strong organizational, communication, and compliance skills.
Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and integrity.

Responsibilities

Manage IT security and protection for the network as part of the IT Team.
Manage incidents and resolve security issues with security consultants.
Maintain knowledge of network vulnerabilities and network monitoring systems.
Be designated as the FSO, Facility Security Officer within the DCSA system.
Maintain accurate security records and adhere to CMMC standards.
Serve as the primary point of contact with DCSA (Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency).
Conduct security education, training, and awareness programs for employees.
Perform self-inspections, internal audits, and prepare for government security reviews.
Investigate and report security incidents, violations, and insider threat concerns.
Monitor surveillance systems and manage access control systems.
