Ensure proper maintenance, repair, and environmental conditions of buildings and grounds. Support management in achieving collection goals and ensuring cost effective operations. Vitalant is one of the nation's largest nonprofit blood and biotherapies healthcare organizations, providing hospitals and patients across the U.S. a safe blood supply, specialized laboratory services, transfusion medicine expertise and world-renowned research. Vitalant provides blood and special services to patients in more than 900 hospitals across the U.S. and host approximately 60,000 blood drives annually.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Valid in-state driver's license
  • Six months of customer service experience required
  • Able to lift 40lbs

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the coordination of warehouse supplies, vehicles, and facility requirements.
  • Ensure proper maintenance, repair, and environmental conditions of buildings and grounds.
  • Support management in achieving collection goals and ensuring cost effective operations.
  • Collaborate with 3rd party vendors to monitor work orders, provide proper work direction, and ensure maintenance and repairs are carried out.
  • Maintain building utility functions, uphold cleanliness, and create a conducive working environment for employees.
  • Manage warehouse inventory levels, including reordering and stocking.
  • Load and unload supplies and products.
  • Manage procurement, requisitioning, inspection and quality control of materials and supplies.
  • Keep facility vehicles in optimal condition by conducting evaluations, scheduling preventative maintenance and repairs, and ensuring annual inspections within DOT compliance, maintaining accurate records.
