You will play a key part in keeping records accurate and ensuring proper reimbursement for the facility.

Requirements

  • Three years of experience involving public contact work in the billing and collection of financial accounts or debts; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Completion of college-level work with major course work in business administration, finance, accounting, health care management, or a related field may be substituted for required experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • Must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Assess financial details for residents to determine and collect monthly fees
  • Review unusual expenses or questionable financial circumstances
  • Calculate fee changes, prepare required forms, and communicate updated charges
  • Complete Medicaid applications and review eligibility for federal and state programs
  • Maintain accurate electronic records by confirming credits, charges, and payments
  • Respond to inquiries and complaints regarding monthly charges and estate billing
