As a Factory Quality Assurance Supervisor, you are responsible for assuring compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards established by the company and various federal, state and local regulatory agencies. The overall responsibility of the role is to ensure the manufacturing of safe, high quality pet food. The position is also responsible for the career development and supervision of QA Techs who will be reporting to you.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing, production, military, or related environment required.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ year of supervisory experience in a manufacturing, production, military or related environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate document reviews and ensure these all meet control requirements.
  • Set the site compliance verification schedule and complete or receive the final report to open relevant CAPAs.
  • Open new CAPAs resulting from audit activities or as needed per CAPA policy and conduct follow-ups as needed.
  • Conduct capability studies to set targets for each filling line to minimize overfill and manage net content deviations and ultimately, provide recommendations for holding dispositions.
  • Manage factory Formal Release program to ensure only products meeting all regulatory and product specification requirements are released.
  • Actively seek and identify issues that may cause non-conforming products. Collaborate with Supervisors, QA Techs and other appropriate plant personnel to implement preventive actions/procedures.
  • Create and manage stock status process for non-conforming products, including sorting, donation, and destruction. Expedite processing of holds to ensure dispositions are timely and hold inventory remains at acceptable levels.
