About The Position

Responsible for all aspects of leading and managing the regional operations of acute or large portfolios of ambulatory/non-acute facilities, which includes implementation of policies, procedures, and programs, as well as oversight that will assure a well-managed, well-maintained building meeting the requirements of the applicable Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) while placing maximum emphasis on positive response to the concerns and needs of the occupants. Responsible for financial oversight, landlord and occupant relations, lease planning and coordination, maintenance and repair oversight, contract management, and informing and implementing the requirements of a long-term capital plan. Informs expectations for local facilities operators and is actively involved in establishing resources to improve the working knowledge of the staff. Acts as a liaison with all facility leaders and departments. Oversees the preparation of the annual budgets, reporting, and financial performance of the assets. Performs ad-hoc reporting which may include dashboard reporting, performance reporting, and support of lease contract negotiations. May provide project and technical leadership to the facility leads as well as the business office and various process improvement projects to optimize and assist in facility operations. Promotes & ensures collaboration with other departments. Provides leadership direction to include plant operations, maintenance management, environmental and energy project management, and medical equipment management in non-patient/technical areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 12 years of recent relevant experience.
  • Conceptual understanding of Integrated Service functions.
  • Knowledge of personnel policies.
  • Demonstrated skill in personnel management and development (teaching, coaching, mentoring).
  • Ability to execute verbal and written communications effectively.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of facility planning, project management, strategic and business planning.
  • Knowledge of physician group management, health care administration, and operations management within an integrated healthcare delivery system.
  • Demonstrated skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with executives, Boards, and physicians.
  • Communication skills, including written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal.
  • Problem identification, analysis, and resolution skills.
  • Ability to create an environment that encourages cooperation, motivation, innovation, and high-performance teamwork.
  • Ability to delegate responsibility and authority to staff.
  • Ability to communicate complex facility planning information to “lay” stakeholders.
  • Computer skills, including spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation software.
