About The Position

This role serves as a representative of Brett/Robinson, requiring courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions. The Facility Painter is responsible for preparing and painting various surfaces within the property, including walkways, stairwells, gates, walls, and exterior doors in common areas. The position requires adherence to safety protocols and attendance at departmental meetings. This role is open to candidates with military experience, those without a high school diploma or GED, individuals with gaps in their resume or who have been out of the workforce, and those new to the workforce or returning with limited experience.

Requirements

Must be able to read work orders and specifications.
Must be able to use tools for general paint preparation.
Must be able to sand and prepare surfaces for painting.
Must be able to paint walkways, stairwells, gates, walls, outside unit door, and common door areas.
Must be able to report safety issues.
Must be able to attend departmental meetings.
Military experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
Open to applicants who do not have a high school diploma/GED.
A good fit for applicants with gaps in their resume, or who have been out of the workforce for the past 6 months or more.
A good job for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education.
Open to applicants who do not have a college diploma.

Responsibilities

Serves as a representative of Brett/Robinson, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with other employees of Brett/Robinson, owners, guests, and other members of the community.
Reads work orders and specifications to determine areas requiring painting.
Uses tools required for general paint preparation.
Sands and prepares surfaces for painting.
Paints walkways, stairwells, gates, walls, outside unit door, and common door areas.
Reports safety issues.
Attends departmental meetings.
Performs other duties as assigned.
