About The Position

Clean Harbors is looking for a Logistics Operations Manager for our Baltimore, MD facility. This position will require a strong background in warehouse operations, with experience in truck-to-truck, cross-docking, or other high-volume, fast-paced distribution environments preferred. This individual will be a hands-on, results-oriented leader who can effectively manage multiple departments while ensuring operations remain efficient, accurate, and on schedule. Shift: 1st shift Pay: $75 - $85K

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • 5-7 yrs of related experience
  • Ability to use computer
  • Ability to lift 50 or more pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in truck-to-truck, cross-docking, or other high-volume, fast-paced distribution environments preferred
  • Fork lift experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee daily electronic dismantling, shedder operations to ensure productivity, safety, and quality standards are met
  • Supervise, train, and develop dismantling staff, including assigning work, monitoring performance, and enforcing company policies
  • Ensure proper dismantling, sorting, and handling of electronic equipment in accordance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain compliance with company-specific standards, including, but not limited to Maryland/City permits, OSHA, R2 (in process of being established), and EPA
  • Monitor workflow and labor efficiency; adjust staffing and processes to meet production goals and deadlines
  • Coordinate with upstream and downstream departments (receiving, logistics, data destruction, recycling, and sales) to ensure smooth material flow
  • Track inventory of dismantled components and materials; ensure accurate documentation and reporting
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve safety
  • Conduct regular safety audits, toolbox talks, and incident investigations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented
  • Ensure proper use, maintenance, and availability of tools and equipment used in dismantling operations
  • Enforce data security procedures when handling data-bearing devices
  • Monitor scrap yields, recoverable asset value, and disposal costs to support financial performance
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for management
  • Support onboarding and cross-training of employees to maintain operational flexibility
  • Address employee issues, coach performance, and collaborate with General Manager, Directors, VPs, and HR on disciplinary actions when necessary
