About The Position

This position is responsible for coordinating, tracking, analyzing and execution of all maintenance activities. The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the preventative maintenance program. Additional responsibilities include successful management of capital projects, being responsive to mechanical failures, working closely with management team on initiatives to improve quality and reduce cost.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in mechanical, architectural, Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline and/or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years or experience as a maintenance manager.
  • Clean DMV record and ability to drive company vehicles.
  • Ability to work within a flavor’s environment and with food grade products following food safety programs.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to manage multiple, rapidly changing and conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to exercise effective independent judgment by identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings.
  • Ability to work with amino acids, vitamins and fine chemicals in powder and liquid form as well as allergen products.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and written.
  • Expertise and proficiency with basic office computer software, maintenance management systems.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and SharePoint.

  • Preferably in a food or flavors company.
  • Strong SAP knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and service plant equipment and facilities.
  • Create, improve, manage, and expand preventative maintenance programs for plant equipment and facilities.
  • Supervise and direct maintenance personnel with all duties.
  • Model Glanbia values, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinate facility and utility outages and upgrades.
  • Develop solutions to plant related problems.
  • Conduct audits to ensure employees are performing tasks according to standards operating procedures (SOP).
  • Maintain site process and be responsible for all aspects of daily site activities.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in verbal and written communication and in behavior.
  • Maintain records, files, instruction manuals, and necessary parts and supplies for all plant equipment.
  • Responsible for work order disbursement and completion.
  • Responsible for creating, modifying, deleting, (managing) work orders in the inventory management system SAP.
  • Track expenses and oversee the budget for maintenance.
  • Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • Interviewing, selecting, and training employees.
  • Develop team to meet daily and monthly maintenance activities.
  • Conduct regular staff training and submit training documentation to HR.
  • Maintaining staff productivity and equipment condition and sustainability records
  • Addressing daily maintenance repairs to keep facility operating without down time.
