About The Position

Reworld is searching for an exceptional Facility Manager to lead our Lorton, Virginia facility — one of Reworld’s largest sites and a flagship operation within our South Region. This isn’t just another plant leadership role. Lorton is a highly visible operation, and the leader who steps into this position will have the opportunity to make a significant impact across the site, the region, and the broader Reworld organization. We’re looking for a proven operations leader who knows how to build, develop, and inspire strong teams, create a culture where safety comes first, drive operational excellence, reliability, and accountability, lead complex maintenance and outage planning, improve productivity and asset performance, develop long-term operational, staffing, maintenance, and budget strategies, and champion continuous improvement using Lean/Six Sigma principles, and build strong relationships with employees, customers, community partners, and senior leadership. All Reworld positions require a candidate's ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the role while upholding Reworld's Values, including (but not limited to) contributing to a safe and inclusive workplace, delivering results through trust, and building breakthrough capabilities.

Requirements

  • Progressive leadership experience from a complex industrial or power-generation environment
  • Experience in Waste-to-Energy, power plants, paper mills, chemical manufacturing, biomass, coal-fired, nuclear, or combined-cycle operations is highly valued
  • Ability to set a clear direction, develop talent, build accountability, bring teams together, and take an already important operation to the next level
  • Ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the role while upholding Reworld's Values, including contributing to a safe and inclusive workplace, delivering results through trust, and building breakthrough capabilities
