Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of phlebotomy experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of apheresis experience, including platelet collections.
  • Experience with data analysis.
  • 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree from an accredited college or university strongly preferred.
  • LVN or RN credentials are desirable.
  • Phlebotomy Certification strongly preferred.
  • EMT Certification strongly preferred.
  • Associate degree in a healthcare-related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily technical and administrative operations of the donor collection facility.
  • Ensure compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
  • Review and approve donor and operational documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform troubleshooting and resolve operational or technical issues as they arise.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of donor records and reports.
  • Lead, coach, and develop donor center staff to achieve operational and customer service goals.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and safety-focused work environment.
  • Monitor staff performance and ensure adherence to organizational policies, including EEO, Affirmative Action, and Safety/Health standards.
  • Promote employee engagement and accountability through ongoing training and feedback.
  • Perform pre-donation screening, venipuncture, and post-donation care in accordance with SOPs.
  • Maintain proficiency in phlebotomy and apheresis procedures, including platelet collections.
  • Ensure a positive donor experience by creating a welcoming and professional environment that encourages repeat donations.
  • Analyze donor center performance metrics and operational data.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, donor satisfaction, and staff effectiveness.
  • Support organizational initiatives and complete additional projects and duties as assigned.
