About The Position

Grand Canyon University is seeking a Facility Manager for its Esports program. This role involves leading the staff responsible for maintaining and managing the Esports Arena, ensuring facility standards are met, and providing support to club sports leadership for budgeting and fundraising. The position is responsible for meeting revenue goals, developing strategies to attract students, planning and setting up campus Esports events, and maintaining facility and broadcast calendars. Collaboration with other departments is key to communicating about Esports on campus. The role also includes supervising coaches and scholarship varsity teams within the Esports program. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline from a regionally accredited institution, preferably in the field of Business with emphasis on marketing or entrepreneurship.
  • Solid understanding of customer passion about gaming.
  • Able to pass training in CPR and AED within 90 days of employment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in esports communication, leagues and event structures.
  • Must pass pre-employment background investigation.

Responsibilities

  • Meeting revenue goals set for the Esports facility.
  • Developing strategies to attract on-campus and incoming students.
  • Planning, scheduling, and setting up campus Esports events for both on-campus communities and external invitational events.
  • Maintaining a facility calendar and broadcast calendar to targeted demographic groups and all campus staff to ensure awareness of the facility.
  • Collaborating and developing strategies with other departments to maintain communication and information to the outside community regarding Esports on campus.
  • Supervising multiple coaches and scholarship varsity teams within the Esports program.
  • Other duties as assigned.
