About The Position

We are seeking a facility maintenance support to maintain a safe, clean, and orderly environment for our students, staff, and community. This position combines light groundskeeping duties with indoor cleaning and sanitation to ensure our facilities remain in top condition. The ideal candidate works well independently, shows initiative, communicates effectively, and takes pride in supporting our school community.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
1 year of related grounds or custodial experience preferred (no specialized expertise required; willing to train).
Valid state driver’s license (travel between assigned local sites during shifts is required).
Successful background check, drug test, and fingerprinting required.

Nice To Haves

Experience stripping and waxing floors preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize offices, common areas,
Vacuum carpets, sweep, and mop VCT flooring.
Empty trash and properly dispose of waste materials.
Maintain a clean, organized custodial closet and manage inventory/supply replenishment in coordination supervisor
Perform specialized floor care (experience stripping and waxing floors preferred).
Respond promptly to emergency cleanup requests as needed.
Maintain District Office grounds, including weed control around the perimeter, clearing stairwell drains, trimming shrubbery, and general landscape upkeep.
Ensure walkways, driveways, and parking areas are safe and clear; perform snow removal on the District Office sidewalk and grounds during winter months.
Perform routine care on floors, walls, doors, windows, furniture, and fixtures.
Inspect, operate, and maintain equipment safely (e.g., floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, extractors, lawn equipment, snow removal gear).
Assist with loading and unloading supplies and equipment.
Report any facility damage or missing items directly to the supervisor
