About The Position

Facility Maintenance personnel perform a range of upkeep and repair functions for the property, including cleaning, plumbing, HVAC, basic carpentry, painting, electrical work, light surface preparation inside leased units, and maintenance of the building exterior and grounds. The role requires troubleshooting and completing general maintenance repairs using hand and power tools. The position is hourly and includes on-call hours; additional work may be requested based on business needs. Typical schedules begin either at 7:00 AM and end at 3:00 PM, or begin at 11:00 AM and end at 8:00 PM, and include Saturdays. Punctuality is an essential function. The role has no direct reports.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of verified handyman or other varied skilled work experience.
• Troubleshooting ability for plumbing, electrical, and related problems.
• Basic carpentry and surface-preparation skills.
• Ability to paint and install drywall.
• Ability to clean facilities properly and efficiently.
• Possession of all tools required for the job.
• Current and valid California driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, squat, twist, and turn the upper body.
• Ability to work in small spaces, indoors and outdoors, and walk long distances.
• Punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Clean facilities properly and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing, electrical, and related problems.
• Complete general maintenance repairs, including clearing drains, patching holes, changing light covers, and hanging screen doors.
• Perform basic carpentry, surface preparation, painting, drywall installation, and light maintenance.
• Perform plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and other property maintenance tasks.
• Maintain leased-unit interiors, the building exterior, and grounds.
• Use hand and power tools to accomplish maintenance tasks.
• Work on-call and take on additional tasks or hours as business needs require.
