About The Position
The Joseph "Eddie" Ballard Western Kentucky Veterans Center is a 156-bed long term care facility located in beautiful Hanson, Kentucky that is committed to serving Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity and providing compassionate care. We are currently seeking a self- motivated, energetic Facility Maintenance Worker II to perform general maintenance work in the following: Coordinates the work of employees and assists the supervisor in the maintenance of buildings, ground and equipment. Performs janitorial duties in maintaining buildings and adjacent areas. Performs the duties of employees in maintaining and repairing plumbing, sewerage systems, electrical systems and associated equipment. Makes carpentry repairs to buildings and equipment. Upkeep in grounds maintenance (primarily lawn mowing and trimming). Painting and special projects that pertain to the upkeep of buildings. The ideal candidate will work within a team-centered environment to meet our commitment to serve Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity, and providing Compassionate Care.
Requirements
- One year of building maintenance, grounds maintenance, general trades, skilled trades, moving services, or mechanical maintenance experience.
- Must be 18 years of age.
