About The Position

CSI Aerospace Inc, a subsidiary of HEICO Corporation, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician performs general preventative maintenance and corrective repair of equipment, buildings and grounds.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years maintenance experience required
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
  • Excellent communication skills needed.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Ability to use mathematics to solve problems.
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and prioritize as necessary.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Must be able to pass a respiratory fit test and evaluation.
  • Must be able to operate a fork lift, motor vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • vocational schooling in maintenance/repair preferred
  • HVAC certification preferred
  • The ability to work after-hours service calls and scheduled projects.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and facilities.
  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Maintains grounds of facility performing tasks such as lawn maintenance and snow removal.
  • Coordinate with vendors on work orders to repair facility or equipment when necessary.
  • Install and maintain production machines and the facility’s equipment.
  • Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Drive to pick up supplies and equipment.
  • All other duties as assigned.
