CACI is looking for a journeyman-level Facility Maintenance Specialist to support a mission-critical program at Fort Belvoir. The selected candidate will be responsible for completing various general and specialized trade skills, including electrical, carpentry, painting, concrete, plumbing, welding, and drywall installation or repair of various ceiling systems. The role also involves maintenance of the surrounding facility structure, such as fencing and gates, and infrastructure sustainment activities like changing bulbs and painting. A key responsibility includes repairing and changing locks to ensure maximum safety. The position requires developing supply estimates, gathering technical data, and formulating safety procedures, material, and fiscal requirements for assigned projects. The technician may assist project coordinators in planning, cost estimating, designing, and completing local projects. A working knowledge of laws, policies, and procedures pertaining to the construction work environment, including OSHA, facility/system equipment security, ECAP, and NEC, is necessary. The role involves applying electrical, mechanical, and structural knowledge, interpreting blueprints, and performing maintenance on fencing and gates. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, walking flights of stairs, working on elevated surfaces, and potentially working in unusual body positions or environmental conditions, including outdoors in various weather.
