About The Position

The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the integrity, safety, and efficiency of a temperature-controlled LTL warehouse facility. This role ensures all building systems, dock equipment, and material handling systems operate reliably to support time-sensitive freight in a climate-controlled environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of facility maintenance experience in an industrial or warehouse setting
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment independently
  • Comfortable working in cold storage environments (refrigerated and freezer conditions)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in temperature-controlled or food-grade logistics environments
  • Basic welding or fabrication skills are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on dock doors, levelers, seals, and restraints; electrical, plumbing, and lighting systems; concrete repairs, racking repairs/adjustments; and miscellaneous building repairs.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues and perform timely repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors for specialized repairs.
  • Maintain facility safety standards, including OSHA compliance and hazard prevention.
  • Conduct daily facility walkthroughs to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns.
  • Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and compliance documentation.
  • Support emergency repairs and be available for on-call situations as needed.
  • Assist with facility upgrades, equipment installations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
