With over two decades of experience in the maintenance and construction industries, we are seeking to welcome an experienced Facility Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic East Boston team at Boston Logan International Airport. We're looking for a seasoned Facility Maintenance Technician who can work independently on complex repairs, take ownership of preventive maintenance across a fast-paced airport facility, and mentor junior team members. The ideal candidate brings at least 3 years of hands-on commercial or industrial facility maintenance experience and is comfortable troubleshooting HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems with minimal supervision in a secured, high-traffic aviation environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of commercial or industrial facility maintenance experience (required)
  • Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, framing, drywall repair, and painting
  • Valid U.S. driver's license with at least 3 years of driving history — final approval subject to our automobile insurance carrier's criteria
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
  • Must be able to obtain a required airport security badge
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills; comfortable working with team members, vendors, and airport stakeholders
  • Demonstrated reliability — consistent attendance, punctuality, and professionalism
  • Self-motivated and mechanically inclined, with the ability to work independently and make sound judgment calls

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CMMS software for managing maintenance tasks (strongly preferred)
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
  • EPA Universal Certification
  • Hoisting license or other relevant trade licenses

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems and other mechanical equipment throughout the facility
  • Perform electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairs, and lead more complex or multi-step maintenance projects
  • Handle drywall repair, framing, painting, carpentry, and other general building repairs
  • Conduct proactive inspections and assessments of facility systems, identifying issues before they become failures
  • Assist with snow and ice removal during winter months
  • Use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to manage work orders, inventory, and maintenance schedules
  • Serve as a technical resource and informal mentor to junior maintenance technicians
  • Partner with facility and airport operations teams to keep systems running safely and minimize disruption to airport operations
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment in full compliance with safety protocols, airport regulations, and security procedures

Benefits

  • Medical, vision, and dental insurance
  • Life insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan
