Facility Maintenance Technician
About The Position
Responsible for the ongoing physical upkeep, safety, and operation of commercial or residential buildings. They troubleshoot and repair building systems (HVAC, plumbing, and electrical) to minimize downtime and ensure the facility meets health and safety regulations. We are seeking a reliable and highly skilled Facility Maintenance Technician to oversee the physical operation and maintenance of our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various trades, the ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient environment.
Requirements
- 1–3+ years of experience in commercial or multi-family facility maintenance (or an equivalent level of experience in trades like plumbing, electrical, and carpentry).
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems, hand/power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems to prevent failures and extend equipment lifespan.
- Complete daily work orders for structural repairs, including patching drywall, painting, repairing door locks, and fixing fixtures.
- Quickly diagnose and resolve emergency maintenance requests to ensure minimal disruption to daily operations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of the building, grounds, and equipment to ensure compliance with OSHA and local building codes.
- Accurately track labor hours, inventory, and completed repairs using facility maintenance software.
- Assist in overseeing external contractors for specialized or large-scale repairs.
