About The Position

CloudKitchens helps restaurateurs around the world succeed in online food delivery by transforming underutilized properties into smart kitchens. This role is different from a typical handyman job, offering work on modern, standardized commercial kitchen facilities with a mix of hands-on repairs, preventative maintenance, and facility support. It provides an independent work environment with support from experienced teams and a clear path for growth into Senior Technician or Facilities Management roles. Requirements

2+ years of handyman, maintenance, or facilities experience
Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, field-based role
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

3+ years of commercial facilities maintenance experience
Experience in restaurants, hospitality, or multi-site environments
HVAC/R experience or trade school background

Responsibilities

Perform general repairs across multiple sites, including drywall, patching, painting, tiling, basic masonry, shelving and equipment installation, floor repairs and upkeep, and exterior maintenance (roofs, gutters, landscaping).
Conduct routine maintenance on building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
Identify issues early and prevent costly breakdowns.
Travel between multiple sites throughout the week across the Chicago area.
Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day facility issues.
Partner with internal teams to keep kitchens fully operational.
