About The Position

The Facility Maintenance Supervisor (Coach) is a critical frontline leader responsible for driving technical execution, team performance, and overall facility reliability within one of the largest and most advanced bottle and can manufacturing facilities in the country. This role leads a team of skilled Facility Technicians while also owning the broader facility infrastructure, ensuring the plant operates safely, efficiently, and at world-class standards. This leader goes beyond traditional supervision, serving as a coach, mentor, and culture-builder who develops technical capability, reinforces accountability, and fosters an inclusive, high-performance team environment. The role requires a strong balance of hands-on technical expertise, structured problem-solving, and people leadership within a highly automated, high-speed manufacturing setting. In addition to leading daily maintenance execution, this position has full responsibility for facility and grounds management, including oversight of building systems such as roofing, HVAC, site security management, fire suppression system management, pest control program management, and general infrastructure. The supervisor manages third-party contractors on-site, ensuring work is executed safely, on time, and to quality standards, while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include planning and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance through SAP CMMS, leading downtime events with urgency and precision, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and reduce operational losses. This role also owns parts strategy, including identification, staging, and kitting of critical components to enable efficient maintenance execution. The Facility Maintenance Supervisor is accountable for managing and adhering to a facilities and maintenance budget, balancing cost control with operational needs, and making data-driven decisions to optimize resource allocation and long-term asset performance. Success in this role requires a highly organized, proactive, and data-driven leader who sets clear expectations, holds teams and contractors accountable, and recognizes contributions that drive measurable impact. A strong emphasis is placed on safety leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to influence outcomes in a dynamic, high-demand production environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Operations Management, or related field OR minimum 5+ years of equivalent leadership experience in a high-speed manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Proven experience planning, scheduling, and executing maintenance work in a CMMS system (SAP preferred)
  • Demonstrated mechanical and facilities maintenance experience, including equipment, building systems, and infrastructure
  • Experience leading and developing frontline teams in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
  • Strong working knowledge of safety programs, policies, and regulatory compliance (OSHA, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); ability to interpret and leverage data for decision-making
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback while holding team members accountable to performance expectations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead team-based problem solving and drive decisions in a collaborative environment
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record
  • Must have indefinite right to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in high-speed beverage, food & beverage, packaging, or CPG manufacturing environments
  • Hands-on experience with facility systems, including HVAC, roofing, electrical distribution, and general building infrastructure
  • Experience managing third-party contractors and vendor performance, including scope, safety, and quality oversight
  • Prior experience owning or managing a maintenance or facilities budget, including cost control and forecasting
  • Familiarity with preventive/predictive maintenance strategies and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) principles
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills (e.g., RCA, 5 Whys, Fishbone)
  • Experience leading planned downtime/shutdown events with cross-functional coordination

Responsibilities

  • Ensure equipment reliability to maximize Buildings and grounds upkeep by effectively planning scheduling and supervising execution of maintenance activities
  • Ensure proper utilization of Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Schedule/Assign Technicians work in CMMS system for daily activities and for downtime activities
  • Responsible for kitting required parts and working with parts coordinators to acquire necessary parts
  • Deploy strategies in reliability that build technicians capabilities
  • Develop a team to handle day-to-day building and grounds issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
  • Deliver effective change leadership while driving business changes and minimizing people impact
  • Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally to assist team to solve operational issues
  • Builds people capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication for front-line hourly personnel
  • Motivate team members to achieve plan goals
  • Implement process improvements to drive contractor work efficiency and effectiveness
  • Utilize visual factory concepts to improve asset utilization and plant performance
  • Track standard manufacturing and warehouse metrics and prioritize plant maintenance opportunities
  • Administer policies and procedures
