The Maintenance Mechanic II role is an intermediate facility maintenance position whose core job duties. Requirements

  • HS Diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma a GED is required.
  • 2 or more years of experience in a maintenance or other mechanical focused role

Nice To Haves

  • Background in electrical systems troubleshooting and repair
  • 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment
  • Must possess and practice good people skills
  • Must have the ability to solve problems and exercise creativity to develop and/or Implement practical solutions
  • Must have the ability to evaluate work and exercise judgment
  • Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative/corrective maintenance on all facility and process related equipment to include make-up air units (MAU), natural gas fired generators, oil/water separators, cooling water towers, vacuum pumps, air compressors, variable frequency drives, boilers, steam systems, and associated equipment
  • Adhere to all engineering instruction, standard operation procedures, and all departmental procedures
  • Observe and follow environmental, health and safety procedures
  • Positively represent Collins Aerospace’s company vision and support the management team
  • Know, understand, and ensure that company policies and procedures are followed and consistently implemented
  • Analyze and repair all malfunctioning equipment or systems i.e., Mechanical, Pneumatic and Electro-mechanical
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with Distributive Control Systems
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records
  • Follow written and verbal instructions
  • Operate the following equipment and tools: Forklift, 3-ton and 5-ton Cranes, Kubota UTV, Various hand tools, Various power tools, Digital Multimeter, Alignment Tools
  • Perform water treatment analysis and take corrective action
  • Ensure a clean and organized work area is maintained
