About The Position
The YMCA of Metropolitan Washington is seeking a hands-on Facility Maintenance Manager for its Silver Spring facility. The manager helps maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for members and staff by handling building maintenance and repairs, overseeing cleaning and maintenance operations, supporting staff, and coordinating contractors and preventive maintenance.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of building or facility maintenance experience.
- Basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and repair skills.
- Dependable and organized, with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Nice To Haves
- Supervisory experience.
- Pool certification.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills.
Responsibilities
- Handle routine building maintenance and repairs.
- Troubleshoot basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC issues.
- Oversee daily cleaning and maintenance operations.
- Supervise and support housekeeping and maintenance staff.
- Coordinate outside contractors and preventive maintenance.
- Help keep the facility safe, clean, and ready for members.
