About The Position

The Maintenance & Facilities Lead is responsible for ensuring the operational readiness of all production equipment and the physical plant. This role balances hands-on technical repair with high-level facility management, including preventative maintenance (PM) scheduling, vendor management, and safety compliance. You will be the primary point of contact for keeping our fabrication, laser, paint, and assembly lines running at peak efficiency.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • At least 1–2 years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Basic industrial electrical troubleshooting skills (480V/3-phase preferred).
  • Proven experience managing general building maintenance and working with external trades/vendors.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and stand/walk for extended periods in a controlled environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with laser cutting technology and powder coat lines is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting and minor repairs on hydraulic/mechanical fabrication presses and laser cutting systems.
  • Maintain and repair powder coating booths, ovens, and conveyor systems to ensure consistent finish quality.
  • Provide rapid-response repair for manual and pneumatic assembly tools (drills, basic hand tools).
  • Develop, implement, and track a PM program to minimize unplanned downtime across all departments.
  • Oversee the upkeep of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and compressed air systems.
  • Source and manage outside contractors for specialized repairs, fire inspections, and facility upgrades.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of critical spare parts and maintenance supplies to ensure quick turnaround on repairs.
  • Serve as the technical lead for maintenance, coordinating work orders and prioritizing tasks based on production needs.
  • Ensure all equipment and facility practices meet OSHA standards and local building codes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve machine uptime, reduce energy costs, and enhance workstation ergonomics.
