  • Hands-on experience maintaining facility machinery, including pumps, motors, blowers, and valves.
  • Hands-on experience in machine shop, tooling and tool specification.
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to diagnose technical failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Proven record of independently identifying and resolving complex technical issues and obstacles.
  • Familiar with principal operations of safety relief valves and how to specify them.
  • Highly organized self-starter capable of managing tasks and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable working in challenging, fast-paced Thermal Vacuum Testing environments.
  • Maintain configuration control for critical infrastructure (compressed air, chilled water/cooling towers, vacuum, Liquid Nitrogen, and Nitrogen systems).
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office Suite, with the ability to interpret and revise Process and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Technical knowledge of vacuum blowers, mechanical pumps, and Liquid Nitrogen storage/piping.
  • Experience following schedules within Microsoft Project.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to support mission-critical tasks in specialized environments (confined spaces, high-noise, or ODH areas) and maintain a flexible schedule.
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency may be a requirement for this position.
  • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (or related discipline) with 2–5 years of industrial facility maintenance experience.
  • Candidates with direct experience in NASA/JSC processes and [JPR 1710.13] compliance are preferred.
  • Strong background in safety standards, including OSHA, NFPA, and ASME piping codes.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling software (Creo or Inventor) is highly valued.
  • Excellent communication skills for delivering presentations to stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management.

Responsibilities
