The Facility Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of machines and equipment to ensure they function according to specifications. This role involves researching, designing, evaluating, installing, operating, and maintaining mechanical products, equipment, systems, or processes. The engineer will collaborate with maintenance project engineers and management to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information. Additionally, they will offer technical customer service to minimize disruptions to daily operations, direct the installation and maintenance of facility systems like HVAC and water, and diagnose and solve electrical, ventilation, and other facility challenges. Establishing maintenance and safety procedures, coordinating service schedules, and managing the supply of materials are key functions. The role also requires close alignment with the farm manager and staff to ensure high-quality products and workmanship, promoting safe work habits, and managing a work order system to prioritize issues. Day-to-day production activities may also be required, along with compliance with Animal Care standards and company core values.
