About The Position

Performs a wide variety of tasks including the maintenance, repair, and trouble shooting of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic instrumentation systems. This role operates in both inside gas plant conditions as well as in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity. This role is designated as safety sensitive and will require the successful candidate to strictly comply with all safety rules and protocols. As part of the ongoing employment requirements, the successful candidate may be subject to drug and alcohol testing—including pre‑employment screening, post‑incident evaluations, reasonable suspicion checks, and random testing—in accordance with government regulations and company policies.

Requirements

  • Eight or more years previous experience
  • 8 years or more years in the position as Facility Maintenance Electrician Hazardous Waste
  • Current valid Driver’s License

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED.
  • Training in occupational hazards of electricity, and knowledge of applicable Electrical Codes

Responsibilities

  • Diagnoses malfunctions in instrumentation/control systems.
  • Adjust instruments to meet process requirements.
  • Corrects problems in individual instruments.
  • Installs electrical equipment and fixtures, including transformers, circuit breakers, switches, motors, meters, conduit, relays, and related equipment.
  • Calibrates equipment and makers test set-ups.
  • Plans and lays out conduit, installs equipment, using blueprints, construction drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics and verbal instructions.
  • Design and layout projects without blueprints.
  • Using a wide variety of testing equipment, determines electrical transmission and operation problems.
  • Coordinates and supervises the work of outside contractors.
  • Provides leadership and training to less experienced technicians.
  • Maintains and operates the Sanitary Treatment Unit.
  • Performs carpentry work.
  • Reference site-specific procedures and more detailed site-specific job descriptions.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
